Gorgeous Carnelian Scarab Ring

This gorgeous example of an antique Egyptian jewel features a hand carved Carnelian Scarab in a classical Egyptian swivel top ring. The back of the deep orange carnelian scarab has a trio of prancing war horses carved in it. The buttery yellow gold holds the scarab pinned in a frame made to fit it perfectly, accented by a twisted golden rope. The ring dates from the late 1800's and the gold tests at 22k..

Details.....The scarab measures 18.7mm x 14.7mm, including the frame, and the band measures 1.7mm. The ring fits like an 8.5, I will not size this ring. As a collector's item, this jewel should be treated with care. In Excellent Antique condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
