A charming Victorian locket pendant of guilloché enamel and pearl. The front of the pendant is an oval of robin's egg blue enamel over an engraved pattern of radiating chevrons, set with tiny natural pearls in the shape of a flower. The back of the pendant is a crystal-front locket. A frame of engraved 12k gold holds the whole pretty thing together. The piece is finished with a small bale and gold jump ring. Circa 1850.

Guilloché enamel is a decorative technique in which a very precise, repetitive pattern is machine engraved into metal, then covered with a layer of translucent enamel. The intricate engraved geometric patterns are visible through the enamel.

Details.....The locket measures 0.71" by 0.93". In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear to antique and vintage jewels; we consider it part of their charm.
