Engraved White Brass Tuareg Cross on Beads

An exquisite Tuareg cross of white brass on a necklace of glass and brass beads. The cross is beautiful, engraved on the front in the traditional fashion. Black glass beads and elongated, engraved brass tube beads are strung on the textile necklace. The piece is finished with a hook and eye clasp, accented with a single red bead. Circa 1920.

The Tuareg are traditionally a semi-nomadic tribe, indigenous to the Sahara desert. Their wonderful jewelry-making craftsmanship is well known.

Details.....The cross measures 2.34" by 4.15". The necklace is 18" long. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of their charm.
