A magical Japonesque pendant with a fairytale beauty depicted in opal inlay in onyx. She reminds us of an Arthur Rackham illustration. The Japanese-style woman's hair and robes are represented in flowing whiplash lines. The opal's iridescence contrasts marvelously with the black onyx, highlighting the mystical quality of the piece. The onyx panel is framed in 14k yellow gold. The pendant hangs on a decorative bale from a modern 14k gold rope chain. Circa 1960.
Details.....The recycled gold chain is 18" long. The pendant measures 0.89" by 1.21", 1.5" with bale. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on your vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
