An exceptional Edwardian engagement ring set with a dazzling fancy light brown diamond. The platinum setting is rich with crisp details, in amazing condition for a ring over a century old. The center diamond is a 0.76ct round brilliant cut, with a blinding VVS clarity. Fancy light brown color is so much more than brown, this stone throws sparks of magenta, teal and gold. Corner-shaped prongs hold the diamond in a raised square head over an unusually low profiled cathedral setting. Dramatic buckle-like shoulders are spangled with accent diamonds and glittering milgrain engraving. A knife edge band tapers into a slender shank. A superb piece, the perfect engagement ring for a glamorous woman. Circa 1915.
This ring comes with an insurance replacement cost appraisal. The appraisal is done by an independent gem lab. The appraised value is $3950.
