This lovely curved buckle is made of high grade silver with squarish hand cut paste stones set in an undulating curve. The buckle has all of its original parts and could be worn on fabric or leather as a belt, bracelet or choker. The paste stones were made to resemble diamonds and have black dots at their centers to highlight the open culet. This buckle dates from circa 1780-1800. The body of the buckle is silver and the hardware is steel for strength. The paste stones show wear and a few chips.
