Crystal Topped Gold Antique Hat Pin

A pretty antique hatpin of 14k yellow gold with an ornate crystal top. A rondelle of faceted clear crystal is sandwiched between bead caps of filigreed gold. A tiny pearl crowns the piece. This lovely ornament would have been used to decorate and secure the enormous Merry Widow hats that were extremely popular at the turn of the 20th Century. Circa 1900.
Details.....Top measures 8mm by 6.4mm. The pin is 4.75" long. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
