Pâte de verre is a form of art glass created by crushing glass and applying it to a mold which allows for the creation of intricate and unique color patterns. It was particularly useful in giving glass the look of gem stones and quite expensive and popular in jewels in the very early 20th century. This stunning strand of beads has the look of fine Turquoise.
