Pretty in pink. This lovely double strand necklace of graduated pink glass beads is imbued with feminine allure. The alternating faceted round and bicone beads are crisply faceted, with tiny spacer beads in between. An aurora borealis finish has been applied, the powder pink color is given depth by the rainbow finish. The two strands are connected by rhinestone studded silver-toned spacer bars and finished with a hook and a beaded extender chain. This necklace is a dream, just as sweet as can be. Circa 1960.
The iridescent aurora borealis finish was popular in the mid 20th Century. It was named after the fabulous light display of the Northern hemisphere.
