A glowing gold filled locket, embellished with a gem-studded starry flower. The front of the round Edwardian locket is engraved with a many-petaled flower, or perhaps a many-rayed star. Concentric rings of tiny natural pearls and rubies are set in the spiky petals, and a wee opal nestles in the center. The opal is small in size but big in iridescent color. The interior of the locket is clean, with no glass. White paper with a pretty star pattern adheres to one side. A jump ring has been added to the bale, making it easy to wear this magical locket any way you like. Circa 1900.
