This sterling silver Italian horn charm is a potent talisman. It has a finish of crosshatched engraving and is stamped "Sterling" with a maker's mark. The horn hangs from a vintage sterling silver chain. Circa 1970.
The Italian horn, also called cornicello, cornetto, corno, or corno portafortuna is a traditional Italian talisman. It protects the wearer from malocchio (the evil eye) and bad luck. The horn also promotes fertility and virility. Sounds good to me.
Details.....The chain is 24" long, and the horn measures 1.54" by 6.6mm. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
