An exquisite antique Tibetan Ga-den Tangka coin displayed in an elegant gold bezel. The coin dates to 1880 to 1899, pre Chinese invasion. Both sides of the coin are embellished with beautiful lotus designs; the obverse presents a lotus surrounded by the Eight Auspicious symbols of Buddhism (ashtamangala) and the reverse bears a legend in Tibetan script that translates to "Ga-den Palace (the Dalai Lama's residence), victorious in all directions". The coin is presented in a ribbed frame of 18k yellow gold, with decorative bale stamped 18k. The modern rope chain is 14k recycled yellow gold.

Details.....The chain is 18" long. The framed coin measures 24.5mm in diameter, 37.5mm with bale. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
