The French have always had a way with jewelry. This lovely cross dates from the early 1800's. The edges are enameled in black with white spots and the gems are foil backed. The pink and purple gems are a combination of beryl and paste, with split pearl accents. The cross is hallmarked on the top ring with the French hallmark for 800 silver. We have added a new sterling bale and 18" chain. This cross would have originally been worn on a ribbon.
