Candy Floss Pink Tourmaline Cabochon Ring

The tourmaline cabochon in this ring is the sweetest candy floss pink. This glossy bubble of a gem is rich with texture, with visible natural inclusions that slightly break its surface. The tourmaline nestles in a rosy 14k gold, clean-lined, four-pronged setting. The top of the ring dates to the 1920s and the flat, hammered band is a modern replacement. Tourmaline is a special gem that comes in a spectrum of colors. The Egyptians revered it and believed it obtained its colors while passing through a rainbow on its journey up from the center of the earth.
