A fabulously fat sterling silver cuff bracelet inlaid with cheerful rose wood polka dots. The bracelet tapers from its chunky, domed front to slightly slimmer terminals. Bright, glossy silver and rich, subtly-grained rose wood are a delightful combination. This bold and graphic bracelet is rare, and super collectable. The interior is marked "Mexico", "Taxco", and "925". It really does not get much more fun and fashionable than this.
This piece dates from the 1940s, a high point in silver jewelry design in Mexico. The Mexican city of Taxco drew jewelry artists from all over the world. The main attraction for the designers and studio jewelers was the locally mined supply of materials: silver and semi precious gems were abundant and affordable.
How can you tell if a cuff bracelet is your size? Measure the top of your wrist from side to side and compare with the inside measurement of the cuff. If this bracelet does not fit easily on your wrist it is not your size. Please do not bend or force the cuff, either the cuff or your wrist may be damaged. Instead, contact us to arrange a return or exchange. We will not return or exchange a bent or damaged cuff.
Details.....The bracelet measures 1.52" wide at the front and tapers to 0.90" wide at the terminals. The interior measures 2.21" across, a petite size small with no flexibility. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should expect some wear on all vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of its charm.
