A very handsome Edwardian gold pocket watch from the Waltham Watch Company. The wonderful 14k gold "Roy" watch case is embellished with engine turned engraving. Inside, the watch is a magnificent affair, with exquisitely painted Arabic numerals, graceful hands, a sub-dial, and a Montgomery dial. Its marvelous movement is signed "A.W.W. Co. Waltham, Mass. 17 Jewels", and numbered "19160606". The crystal has been replaced. A rare beauty that dates to circa 1903.
The Waltham Watch Company produced about 40 million watches, clocks, speedometers, compasses, and other precision instruments between 1850 and 1957.
Details.....The watch measures 1.91" in diameter, 2.55" from bow to hinge. In Very Good Antique Condition. All vintage jewels will show some wear, it is in keeping with their age, and a part of their charm.
