Gorgeous Sodalite Pendant on Sterling Lorgnette Chain

This fabulous necklace is really two gorgeous pieces in one. It's a wonderful example of art deco design; glamorous, with thoughtful detail.  A large pendant of richly saturated sodalite is topped with a sterling silver cap that is set with onyx and spangled with marcasites. The vibrant blue sodalite displays the fascinating crystalline structures often seen in this stone. It also has a crack in one side that does not detract from its beauty or wearability. The pendant hangs on a sterling silver lorgnette necklace composed of engraved trombone chain interspersed with filigreed links. The necklace is finished with a spring ring, making it easy to swap out the sodalite for any pendant you like. A wonderful juxtaposition of art and nature. Circa 1920. 

Details.....The necklace has a wearable length of 26" with a 4" drop. The pendant measures 2.7" by 1.25" In Good Vintage Condition, there is a chip in the sodalite that does not detract from its wearability or beauty. You should always expect some wear on antique and vintage jewelry, we consider it part of the charm.
