This precious antique pendant watch with complimentary lorgnette chain is a stunner. The open-faced watch has a matte black enameled case of 14k white gold, with a lacy floret embellishment on its back. The floret is exquisitely milgrained platinum, with an old European cut diamond at its center and 17 rose cut diamonds set in its petals. The watch face is a matte, silver-colored metal with hand-painted Arabic numerals. The watch is suspended from an arched, enameled bow. The lorgnette is platinum chain interspersed with bezel set old European cut diamonds and elongated links of black-enameled 14k yellow gold. A central diamond-set platinum floret, a match to the watch's floret, suspends a drop ending in a 10k white gold spring ring that attaches the watch. The inside of the watch case is stamped "14k", "HAAS SUISSE", and "901471". The 15 jewel movement is stamped "HAAS" and "54525". Circa 1910-1930.
The watch and chain come with an insurance replacement cost appraisal. The appraisal is done by an independent gem lab. The appraised value is $6500.
