Rare 18k and Platinum Mesh Bracelet with Diamonds & Sapphires

This superb bracelet is a band of supple two-tone Platinum and 18k gold woven mesh studded with sparkling old diamonds and domed cabochon sapphires. The band is composed of wide yellow gold stripes interspersed with narrow Platinum stripes. Four old mine and European cut diamonds alternate with three oval cabochon sapphires; a gemstone is set in a raised bezel at the center of each Platinum stripe. The supple mesh has a fine pattern woven in. The bracelet is finished with a lovingly hand-crafted box-and-tongue clasp and a safety latch for extra security. This is a rare piece in lovely condition, the craftsmanship is exquisite. It really must be seen and touched (in person) to be fully appreciated. Circa 1900.

This bracelet comes with an insurance replacement cost appraisal. The appraisal is done by an independent gem lab. The appraised value is $7500.

Gemstone Details.....The bracelet holds three oval cabochon cut sapphires with very dark, slightly violetish, Blue color. They have a weight range of 1.50ct to 1.85cts for an approximate total weight of 5 carats. Three old mine cut and one old European cut diamond have an approximate weight of .15ct each. They have SI1/SI2 clarity and G/H color.

Details....The bracelet measures 7.5" long and 17.5mm wide. It weighs 29.86 grams. In Excellent Vintage condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
