This is a beautiful Mid Century palladium engagement ring with interesting and attractive details. A vivacious 0.43ct diamond sparkles in an unusual round head, held in four fancy prongs. The SI clarity and G/H color diamond is raised above straight shoulders, each set with two accent diamonds framed in milgrain engraving. Tiny triangles are engraved on each side. A substantial half round band completes the piece. The inside of the ring is stamped with Chinese characters. There is something special about this one, somehow classic and unexpected at the same time. Circa 1950.

Prior to the USA's involvement in WW2, platinum and white gold were the most common white precious metals used in jewelry making. During the war platinum was reserved for the war effort, therefore palladium came to be used in its place.

Details.....Currently a size 5.25. The ring may be sized up or down two sizes free of charge. The top of the ring measures 15.5mm by 6.4mm, and the band is 2.4mm wide. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
