Three-Strand Pearl Necklace with Gorgeous Silver Clasp

A wonderful three-strand pearl necklace with all the lush glamour of the Art Deco era. The graduated cultured pearls are hand knotted on white silk. They have the dreamy, creamy luster we love to see in old pearls. The necklace is finished with a gorgeous silver gilt slide clasp; it resembles a many-petaled flower, beautifully engraved and set with sweet little seed pearls. Cultured pearls are created by adding an irritant, such as a grain of sand or small bead to a pearl oyster to encourage it to cover the irritant in nacre, thus creating a pearl.
