Architectural Art Deco Carnelian & Marcasite Earrings

Very Art Deco earrings of carnelian and marcasite-studded silver. Ornate sterling silver pillars are engraved and set with glittering marcasites. Smoldering carnelian orbs sit at the top and bottom of the pillars. The bold drops hang on sterling silver French ear wires. These earrings have the architectural drama that this glamorous age was known for. Circa 1920.

Marcasite is a soft greyish-silver mineral that became one of the most popular gems of the Art Deco era. Marcasites are especially lovely when set in silver, emphasizing their dark sparkle.

Details.....These earrings are 1.75" long and measure 10.2mm in diameter. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on antique and vintage jewels; we consider it part of their charm.
