Charming English Rosy Gold Heart Lock Bracelet

An adorable example of the traditional heart lock bracelet, this charming love token hails from Victorian England. The 9ct rose gold bracelet is composed of alternating segments of polished and rose-engraved curb links and clasps with a wee heart-shaped padlock. The heart lock is pierced and engraved with trompe-l'œil "hardware." Its closure is secure and has an additional safety chain with a spring ring clasp. The back of the lock is hallmarked for England and bears the maker's mark "J&B." Circa 1880.

Details.....The bracelet measures 8" long and 7.3mm wide. The heart lock measures .51" by .70". The piece weighs 12 grams. In Very Good Antique Condition. Small imperfections are to be expected in vintage and antique pieces and are considered part of their charm.
