A gorgeous turquoise and sterling ring in a hard-to-find large size. Bright blue turquoise, shattered with a dark, silvery matrix, nestles in a deep, scalloped bezel. The turquoise is likely Morenci. Arcing rocker designs embellish the scallops, and stamped circles ring the bezel. Quadruple-split shoulders taper into a wide, flat band. This wonderful piece is signed by the artist. The maker's mark is a Gothic letter "P" over a slim crescent. Circa 1980.

The Morenci turquoise mine is located in Southeastern Arizona, in operation since 1864. This mine produces a wide range of colors; the most desirable turquoise is a deep blue color with a heavy iron pyrite matrix.

Details..... Currently a size 10. For a fee, silver rings can usually be sized within two sizes. Contact us for sizing information about this ring. The top of the ring measures 11.3mm by 18.9mm, and the band is 6.5mm wide. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should expect all vintage and antique jewels to show some wear; we consider it part of their charm.
