A gorgeous Modernist ring from renowned artist Henry Steig. The ring is a sterling silver band with a single twist. The effect is elegant and sculptural, exquisite in its simplicity. The interior of the band is marked "Steig." Circa 1950.

Henry Steig (1906-1973) was an American self-taught metalsmith with training in art and sculpture. Described as a "Renaissance Man," Steig was a jazz musician, a commercial artist and cartoonist, a published writer, and a painter. In 1947, he began making Modernist jewelry, mostly in sterling silver, with great success and continued until his death.
