Moss agate was named for the wonderful fine tracery of green moss-like fronds that run through the stone. This moss agate is wonderful, by parts translucent and milky opaque, with vivid green mossy mineral filaments. The natural beauty of the agate is refined by the balanced design of this elegant Edwardian necklace. A beveled-edged bar of agate is banded in 14k yellow gold. The pendant is then suspended horizontally from recycled 14k yellow gold rope chain. It's a wonderful piece, both sophisticated and organic. Circa 1900.
Details.....The necklace is 16.5" long and the pendant measures 2.14" by 0.37". In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on antique and vintage jewels, we consider it part of their charm.
