At last! It's been ages since we have seen opals. This wonderful early Edwardian ring pairs flashing opal with sparkling diamonds. The colorful oval opal is set in an elaborate 18ct gold ring. Rich yellow gold enhances the opal's pink, blue, and green sparks. The gem is in a rectangular plaque, flanked by ornately sculpted shoulders with a bright white diamond set in each jaunty flourish. The ring's half-round band bears hallmarks for Birmingham, England, 18ct gold, and the years 1901-02.
Details.....Currently a size 7.25. The top of the ring measures 18.5mm by 5.7mm, and the band is 2.4mm wide. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
