Old European Cut Diamond and Ruby Gold and Platinum Engagement Ring

The brilliantly sparkling white Old European Cut Diamond is held in a 4-prong platinum setting. To either side, set in 18k yellow gold, are lovely red pear-shaped rubies. The body of the ring is also 18k gold. During the late 1930s and into the retro movement of the 1940s lab grown rubies were the preferred choice over natural Rubies for accent and side stones. Circa 1930-40.

This ring comes with an insurance replacement appraisal from an Independent Gemological Laboratory. It appraises for $13,100.

Diamond Details... 1.41ct Old European Cut VS1 G-H. The Pear-Shaped Rubies are Lab-Grown and weigh .57cts.

Details.....The ring is currently a size 4.75 and can be sized up or down two sizes free of charge. Contact us if you need this ring sized up more than two sizes; it may be possible and will have a small fee. The gem set top measures 17.3mm x 7.2mm, and the band measures 1.7mm. In Very Good Vintage Condition, you should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of their charm.
