This tiny tie pin is a total mood. The face displays a Japanese village, lit by a full moon. The scene is depicted using a technique that looks a great deal like Damascene, with rich gold and glowing silver on a matte black field. The body of the pin is gold filled metal, with a button chain for security. Dreamy and romantic. Circa 1960.
