Black Enamel Laurel Wreath Locket on Silver Lorgnette Chain

This sentimental sterling silver locket hangs on a gorgeous lorgnette chain that complements it perfectly. The round locket is enameled a shiny black; a silver laurel wreath is applied to its face, and the lacy leaves are embellished with glittering marcasite stones. The locket's interior has one pane and two frames; one side is papered blue, and the other is papered green. This somber locket suspends from a lorgnette chain with fancy sterling links stationed with pearls and black beads. The lorgnette's drop terminates in a spring ring that attaches to the locket's bale. The locket and lorgnette chain make a superb pairing, but each can be worn separately when you are in the mood for variety. Circa 1920.

Details.....The lorgnette chain has a 30" wearable length with a 2.5" drop. The locket measures 1.43" in diameter. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
