A Brutalist interpretation of an ancient symbol. This figural pendant depicts a stick figure of a human, rendered in gold over silver. The pendant hangs on a sterling silver cable chain. Circa 1970.
This symbol is an archaic ideogram or petroglyph. It appears to be a human stick figure with a circled dot, or "sol," for a head. The provenance of this glyph has been attributed to Stonehenge, an Olmec Native American cave or ancient Chinese origins. The German experimental musical project Einstürzende Neubauten has appropriated this symbol as their logo.
Details.....The chain is 24" long. The pendant measures 0.87" by 1.37". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on your vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
