Fabulous Harlequin Bib Necklace by Kenneth Lane

An absolutely fabulous harlequin bib necklace by Kenneth Lane. Oversized rhinestones in every color spectrum are prong set in gunmetal-colored costume metal links. The necklace starts with a classic rivière of faceted oval stones. Clusters of stones in a variety of shapes drip from the rivière, cascading over the collarbones in a riot of color and sparkle. The necklace finishes with a gem-set slide clasp marked "Kenneth Lane." This statement piece is outrageously glamorous; it is impossible to tear your eyes away. Circa 1980.

Kenneth Jay Lane was a prominent American costume jewelry designer. In 1966, The New York Times journalist Marilyn Bender wrote that the "most important men in a fashionable woman's life were her hairdresser, her make-up artist, and Kenneth Jay Lane.".
