This Victorian locket is a scalloped oval of beautifully engraved 9ct gold. Each side of the locket bears a diagonal banner incised with a Greek key motif. The banner extends over a field of curling texture reminiscent of tiny nautilus shells. A monogram is engraved on the locket's back; it is too small to be read easily. The interior has neither glass nor frames. The size is perfect. It's a lovely and versatile piece. Circa 1870.
Detail.....The locket measures .52" by .65". The modern 10k gold rope chain is 16" long. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
