Onion Bulb Ornament 14k Gold Locket with Garnet Flower

This Mid-Century 14k gold pendant/locket is wild; it really has it all. The front of a large onion bulb-shaped drop has a glittering Florentine finish. A raised flower with pear-cut garnet petals and a tiny diamond center is applied to the center of the pendant. The sparkling flower doubles as a hinged door opening to reveal a hidden compartment, ready to receive a photograph, lock of hair, or whatever small item you like. Small garnets spangle the locket, each set in an incised star. The back of the drop is flat with a subtly textured finish. A jump ring has been added to the integrated bale, making the piece easy to wear on the chain of your choice. Is this flashy jewel a Christmas ornament, festive, and fun for the holiday season?
