Imagine the excitement of taking a flight in a 1920s airplane! This sporty sterling silver bears the image of a pilot in a monoplane, flying through the clouds over a landscape of buildings and mountains. Repoussé metal work gives the airplane a lively bas relief quality. The back of the locket is plain. No glass or frames, but the interior is clean and the clasp is nice and secure. It hangs from an elongated link sterling silver cable chain. Perhaps this locket was a souvenir of someone's first airplane ride. Circa 1920.
Details.....The chain is 18" long. The locket measures 1.53" in diameter. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
