Star Set Rose Cut Diamond Victorian Locket

This stellar locket is a classic example of late Victorian styling. The round locket is mellow gold-filled metal with the glossy finish that age brings. The front of the locket is embellished with a rose-cut diamond set at the heart of an incised starburst. The eight-rayed star draws the eye to the twinkly little diamond. An elegant monogram, "MES" perhaps, is engraved on the back. The locket's interior is clean, with original frames and no glass. A jump ring bale has been added, suspending the locket from a gold-filled cable chain. Circa 1890.

Details.....The locket measures 1.01" in diameter. The chain is 20" long. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
