A charming, chubby Hopi Corn Maiden pendant carved from an incredible piece of turquoise. The stunning colors of the turquoise are unreal. Her sweet little features are red coral inlay. She wears the squash blossom hairstyle of an unmarried Hopi woman. The Maiden has a large decorative bale that is the ideal size to accommodate a leather thong or strand of beads. Circa 1970.

Across Native American cultures, the Corn Maidens symbolize the prayers of the people for a bountiful harvest.
