Tudor Roses adorn the shoulders of this amazing piece of history. Ten chunky diamonds with rectangular shaped tables sit in two rows of five across the top of this double diamond hoop ring. The (approximately) 1.95tcw of sparkling stones are set in silver piecrust settings over 18k yellow gold. The diamonds are foiled and closed-backed, as was the fashion in the 18th Century to enhance their sparkle in candlelight. Please note that you Do Not want to get foiled closed-back gems wet; it will darken the stones. The setting is so gorgeous from every angle, with grooved rays radiating out from the center of the puffy back. Dating from the 18th Century.
I have been gathering special and rare jewels for several decades with the intention of eventually releasing them in Curated Collections. The first group I am making available includes extraordinary rings.
Details.....Currently a size 8. The top of the ring measures 8.7mm by 17.5mm and the band measures 2mm wide. Currently a size 8. In Very Good Antique Condition. The silver bezels show wear in keeping with its age, and there is some sign this ring has been sized in the past.
