Stunning French Silver Cross Circa 1830

The French have always had a special way with jewelry. This incredible cross dates from the early 1800s. The edges are enameled in black with white spots. The pink and purple gems are a combination of beryl and paste, foil backed, with split pearl accents. The cross is stamped on the bale with the French hallmark for 800 silver. We have added an additional sterling bale and a vintage sterling silver paperclip chain. This cross would have originally been worn on a ribbon. This is an extraordinary jewel, richly colored with a delicious Gothic glamour.

Details.....The cross measures 2.5" by 2". The chain is 18" long. In Good Antique Condition, with some enamel losses and light wear. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it a part of their charm.
