Dionysus, dancing with his wand and a cluster of grapes. Greek mythology is so fascinating, and this is a rich representation of the Greek Pantheon's favorite vintner/party animal. The God's grapes are symbolic of fertility, his wand is a symbol of defense and beneficence. And fertility. This shell cameo is carved with delicacy and set in a 10k gold wire frame. So lovely. Circa 1930.
