An opulent little Art Nouveau brooch of rich purple amethyst and 10k gold. The buff top cut gem is bezel set within an openwork frame of sculpted leaves. Curling leaves engraved with delicate texturing feel lush and romantic. The top of a buff top cut gem is cut en cabochon, while the underside is faceted, creating a unique glittering, glossy glow. This particular amethyst looks good enough to eat. A classic c-clasp fastens the piece. Circa 1910.
Details.....The brooch measures 1.02" by .81". In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on antique and vintage jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
