Research suggests this sterling silver brooch represents a dee ring snaffle. The snaffle is a type of horse's bit used in the English riding discipline; the dee ring snaffle bit fits into the horse's mouth, with the bridle and reins attached to the rings. On the other hand, these may be stirrups. Either way, a round crystal reverse-painted with a horse's head is center set. A great piece for an equestrian; they will probably identify the tack easily. Circa 1920.

Details.....The brooch measures 1.8" by .53". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on your vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of their charm.
