A gorgeous carnelian intaglio is set in a tasteful Victorian watch fob. The intaglio depicts an elegant woman wearing a long tunic. She is standing, leaning on a pillar with her chin in her hand. She holds a rod in her other hand with which she languidly prods a large orb at her feet. What does this represent? The orb and scepter are symbols of the Monarchy. It is a wonderfully composed carving. The intaglio is bezel set at the base of a gold sheeted fob with gracefully arcing, split shouldered lines. This piece will make a wonderful pendant, try it on one of our Ancient Influences married chains. Circa 1860.

Details.....Measures 20.9mm tall, and the base is 16.6mm by 23mm. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
