A cushion of golden amber, shot through with rutile-like inclusions, sits in a striking sterling silver ring. The amber gem is held in curved silver tabs above a tapered band. A flourish of engraved crosshatching, reminiscent of a serpent's scales, enhances the ring's wide shoulders. Amber is a magical window into the past with its incredible inclusions of petrified pollen and vegetation fragments. A handsome ring in a coveted large size. Circa 1970.
Details.....Currently a size 10.25. The top of the ring measures 11mm by 12.4mm, and the band is 3.7mm wide. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
