Lovely 1930s Diamond Engagement Ring

Between the fabulous filigree of the 1920s and the classic clean lines of the 1940s, there was a short time in the mid-1930s when one of my favorite styles of engagement rings was made. Often set with small diamonds (it was the Great Depression, after all), settings were designed with great detail to show off the little sparklers. This ring is a perfect example of this design era, with details galore! Scrolls hold the diamond in a puffy top, and tapered tiered shoulders end in little grooved bands at the sides. This little beauty is 18k white gold.

Details... Currently a size 7. The ring measures 5.5mm at the diamond set top. The band measures 1.5mm wide. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
