Bliss Brothers Art Nouveau Heart Locket with Irises

An enchanting Art Nouveau locket from Bliss Brothers Co. The heart-shaped locket is glossy gold filled metal, embellished on the front with repoussé irises. The locket's back is plain. Its interior is nice and clean, with one intact frame and a tight clasp. This lovely locket hangs on a vintage gold filled rope chain. Marked "BB Co." for Bliss Brothers Company. Circa 1890.

Bliss Brothers Company was founded in Attleboro, Massachusetts. The company produced high-quality gold-filled and sterling silver items from 1896 until the 1950s. They are best known for lockets featuring Art Nouveau or early Edwardian influences.

Details.....The chain is 18" long, the locket measures 1.15" by 1.30". In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
