A fun and funky frog belt buckle from important American artist Carl Tasha. This fine fellow is beautifully sculpted in brass, a three-dimensional critter that looks as though it might hippity hop away at any moment. His belly is signed "C. Tasha" and numbered 216/1000. It's easy to see why Tasha's figural belt buckles are highly sought after; this frog's toes are utterly adorable.

Carl Tasha (1943-2006) pioneered the Brutalist art movement. He was a sculptor who lived in Provincetown, Massachusetts, known for his unique jewelry, sculptures, and belt buckles.

Details: The frog measures 2.46" by 2.08", and the bar accommodates a 1.75" strap. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
