Sparkling bright blue and teal rhinestones embellish this charming Art Deco necklace. Cut-corner rectangular panels of ivory-colored celluloid are heat-set with colorful rhinestone stripes and linked with jump rings. This vibrant piece fastens with a sterling silver clasp, set with a bright white rhinestone. Circa 1920.
Celluloid is a synthetic plastic initially used as a substitute for ivory and other expensive materials.
