This exquisite brooch pairs a cluster of sea glass-colored rhinestones with foxtail chain fringe to create a jewel that reminds us of a jelly fish. Teal, aqua, and white stones have a soft matte finish, like tumbled glass. This fantastical brooch bears Countess Cissy Zoltowska's mark on its back. Circa 1950.
Countess Cissy Zoltowska led a fascinating life. Amongst her many other accomplishments, between 1950 and 1960 she designed about 300 dynamic and unusual pieces of jewelry, collaborating with Balenciaga for 14 years.
