This 1970s flower basket brooch is a funky reimagining of the giardinetti (little garden) jewels that gained popularity in the Georgian era. Three pert blossoms with turquoise petals grow from a sterling silver basket. The flower stems, basket's handle, and other details are depicted in twists of sterling wire. Vibrant blue and green turquoise is set in sawtooth bezels, accented with silver beads. Playful and fun, with Flower Power flair. Circa 1970.
